“I would highly recommended Aimee to anyone, who wants to change the way of thinking about pregnancy. Aimee is fantastic and her knowledge about the whole process is so empowering. As a first time mum to be I feel excited to meet my baby without fear, as Aimee guided me and taught me to trust myself - my body will know what to do. If you want to feel confident that it is your birth, your body and your baby you have to meet Aimee - her passion is contiguous and contagious! Thank you very much and definitely see you again Aimee!”

FAQ

WHEN CAN I START PRACTISING YOGA IN PREGNANCY?

I like to say take it gently in the first trimester (up to 12 weeks) but this is not to say don't do it at all. It will all depend on your own yoga experience and whether you are feeling good moving. For some women this is a very tender time and so we navigate together with care. (Please contact me directly to talk more about your own circumstances and wishes)

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Anything that you find comfortable to move in. Leggings, joggers whatever feels good for you. Nothing too lose or too tight and remember layers are always a good option.

CAN I STILL DO YOGA IF I AM UNDER CONSULTANT LED CARE?

It is always best to double check with your doctor but in my experience a little movement is always beneficial in yoga as long as it is safe and supportive.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Your own yoga mat is essential and always bring some water. If you don't have a yoga mat please don't spend a fortune ( Homesense/TK Maxx and Facebook Market place are all good places to start) . I will provide blankets and props as necessary.

DO I NEED TO HAVE DONE YOGA BEFORE?

Absolutely not! I’ll teach you as you are! Lots of women are called to yoga in pregnancy and I feel it is a great privilege to be the first to walk with you on this path. It is purposeful gentle yoga with conscious understanding on the ever changing female form.

I WORK FULL TIME, SHOULD I MAKE TIME FOR YOGA ?

Yoga is always a good idea and even a better one in pregnancy! You can even consider Yoga as ante-natal appointment as it is proven to support your pregnancy and birth. Ask me for more info.

Aimee Strongman

Founder

Under the Perseid meteor shower August 2017 I gave birth to my first born son unexpectedly in my front room and my first and only thought at the time was….

Why has no one ever told me I could do this?

Fast forward 23 months and I did it again with my second son in the birth pool at home.

From that point on I had a calling to share this magical experience to attempt to change the narrative of birth because I had heard too many experiences of trauma.

I dived deep into my yoga studies and then specialised in pre and post natal yoga followed by rich research and learning into physiological birth and the female body understanding just how childbirth unfolds and what it means to navigate this sacred time of creation I like to call Maternal Alchemy.

kind words from clients

“The most beautiful, informative and brilliant course.

Aimee has cultivated a really special safe place to bring pregnant women together and it is wonderful! Aimee really supported me through my pregnancy and I had such a positive birth experience and put so much of this down to Aimee and all she taught me.

Her positive approach, calmness, kindness, reassuring nature and amazing knowledge, wisdom, and ways of teaching are just so brilliant. I wish I could do it all again!

Highly highly recommend!!!”

Floreence

“Aimee is a truly wonderful human being. After a very traumatic first birth both physically and mentally a friend suggested having some sessions with Aimee before my second birth. Aimee gave me the time to unload my previous traumas and to deal with how they made me feel. She then helped me to be positive and empowered by my second birth. It allowed me to ultimately have my perfect birth. Her sessions gave me the confidence to be positive about my options. I loved doing my birth mood board and it honestly helped so much. I would never of done this without Aimee’s encouragement. I highly recommend allowing her to be part of your birth journey."

Lucy

“Aimee is incredible, she is so passionate about supporting women through pregnancy, birth and beyond. Empowering you to have the confidence to birth how you feel is the best way for you and your baby. Aimee has also created an incredible circle of women so that you don’t feel alone in pregnancy or motherhood. I am so grateful to Aimee for her knowledge, support and guidance during this time.
I would 100% recommend Aimee to any woman going through pregnancy.”

Amy

“Aimee really is a truly beautiful person. Not only does the course guide you through the mental and physical preparation for a truly personal and positive birth but Aimee takes the time to reach out to you on an individual basis. She listens to your fears or concerns and empowers you to think differently.
She even reached out with positive vibes and encouragement when I was 4 days overdue and we expected my baby to come soon any day on the new moon.
Not only is the course brilliant but the special time out that you take from the hustle and bustle of life to relax and connect with body, mind and baby is super special.
Thank you so much Aimee.
Would HIGHlY recommend."
